  • 3.ENERGY AND ATMOSPHERE

    Fundamental Commissioning of building energy systems will be performed to verify that they are installed, calibrated and perform according to the owner’s project requirements and designers’ specifications.

  • 4.MATERIALS AND RESOURCES

    Facilitate the reduction of waste generated by building occupants that is hauled to and disposed of in landfills by providing an easily-accessible dedicated area for the collection and storage of materials for recycling of the entire building.

    Divert at least 75% of construction and demolition debris from disposal in landfills and redirect recyclable and reusable materials recovered resources back to the manufacturing process. Materials with at least 20% recycled content (by total value of the materials) will be used to slow the extraction and processing of raw materials.

  • 5.INDOOR ENVIRONMENT

    Establish minimum indoor air quality (IAQ) and thermal comfort performance to enhance the comfort and well-being of the occupants by meeting the minimum requirements of ASHRAE 62.1-2007 and 55-2004 respectively.

    Prohibit common areas smoking and on-property smoking within 7.5 metres (25 feet) of entries, outdoor air intakes and operable windows. Blower Door tests will be conducted to confirm air tightness of the suites.

    Construction Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Management Plan will be utilized and will be conducted to mitigate indoor air quality problems resulting from construction and promote the comfort and well-being of construction workers and building occupants.
