Kylemore Toy Donation

KYLEMORE COMMUNITIES
STARLIGHT PARTY
January 17, 2008

Kylemore Communities is committed to going beyond building homes, to becoming a good corporate citizen in the communities in which it builds. Giving back to the greater community is an integral part of Kylemore’s corporate philosophy, and throughout the year, the company hosts events that reflect this spirit. In December, Kylemore invited purchasers and homeowners in all its communities to the spectacular 5300 sq foot West Village model home in Unionville at 118 Angus Glen for a very special holiday party. Guests were asked to bring a gift to donate toward Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation Canada’s Annual Toy Drive. Purchasers were most generous, and the Kylemore staff topped up the gift items. In total, more than 100 toys were presented to Tammy Dean, a member of the Starlight Starbright Development Fund. Delighted with this outpouring of kindness, she thanked the Kylemore staff and homeowners.

Starlight Starbright is a non-profit charitable organization that is dedicated to helping seriously ill children and their families cope with pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and family activities. The Starlight Starbright Toy Drive brings toys to children who are in the hospital during the holidays and throughout the year. Understanding that when a child is ill the entire family is affected, Starlight Starbright ensures that when siblings need attention, they receive a toy as well.

Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation Canada’s head office is in Unionville, so the organization has a strong presence in the Markham area. Kylemore is being proactive about supporting community organizations through sponsorships and programs such as this holiday toy drive. As most of the company’s new home communities are situated in the Markham/Unionville area, Starlight Starbright has a special place in the hearts of Kylemore’s management, staff and homeowners.
