VILLAGE GATE - New neighbourhood of executive homes launches in Markham

MARKHAM, ON, October 6, 2014 ... Kylemore Communities introduces an exclusive new collection of executive homes on 50-foot lots in the master-planned Angus Glen Community. Village Gate will be a private neighbourhood of 56 residences, bordered by mature trees and the south course of prestigious Angus Glen Golf Club in Markham.

City of Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti, members of Council and VIP’s joined Patrick O’Hanlon for the Official Ribbon-cutting to launch Village Gate. Kylemore also celebrated the opening of a sumptuous new Custom Home Model plus their newly renovated Dublin Model Home, both beautifully appointed by Jane Lockhart Interior Design in Toronto.

In keeping with the traditional design appeal of the entire community, the large four- and five-bedroom two-storey homes in Village Gate will feature classic exteriors in combinations of stone, brick and/or stucco with unique masonry detailing. Decorative architectural embellishments and steep roof pitches will enhance the streetscapes.

Jane Lockhart and her team have decorated and furnished a magnificent new 5,300 sq.ft. Custom Home Model and, at the same time, have overseen a makeover of the 5-year old Dublin Model Home - a highly popular design among buyers. . “Our purchasers are sophisticated and knowledgeable; they know what they like and we have to ensure that our Model Homes keep pace with the times,” says O’Hanlon. “For the first time in our history we made the decision to renovate an existing Model Home, even though the décor and furnishings still looked great. We believe it is important to showcase the newest and most desirable finishes, and it may become a new business venture for us,” he adds. The Model Homes are now open.

Village Gate residences will have a selection of luxurious features such as 10-foot smooth ceilings on the main level with upgraded 8-foot doors; 9-foot ceiling height on the second floor and in the basement.
